Meet Professor Posture

I named my practice Professor Posture because I believe my job is to teach you a solution that puts your wellbeing under your control. Together we retrain your muscles so you can move freely and safely, without pain.

Hi! I'm CHRISTI

I’m a living, breathing example of what Posture Therapy can do. I’ve been passionate about movement for my entire life, from ballet to weightlifting and beyond.

As an NASM certified personal trainer and aerobics instructor I’ve taught aerobics, spinning, and I worked for decades as a personal trainer. When I went back to school for my master’s degree in public health.

The long hours of sitting ignited chronic pain, and soon I had a frozen shoulder, a trigger thumb, a bum knee, an ankle, and hip that kept locking up, and sciatica that stopped me in my tracks.

Corrective Posture Therapy eliminated my pain, restored my mobility, and ultimately, I became a Corrective Posture Therapist. I still do my exercises religiously because I remember what that pain felt like.

I’ve been working in this field for nearly a decade now. I bring all the knowledge and experience I gained in sports and strength training, along with the foundational principles of posture therapy. I take pride in providing personal attention every step of the way, and in tailoring the “education” of your body to meet your goals. Posture correction is not about being perfect. It’s about having the right balance of mobility and stability to do what you want to do, pain free.

Your shoulders are rounded forward so your elbow is forced to do more work than it was meant to do.

Your wrist is not the issue and carpal tunnel surgery will only mask the problem coming from your shoulder blade.

Your muscles are trapped doing work they were never meant to do. When we release the muscles, they will give you the flexibility you’re looking for.

The position of the joint matters, not the condition. We must release the muscles so they can work the way they were designed in order for your bones to move freely.
